Can you basically use all three words/terms interchangeably?

I am trying to understand Genesis 18, but am battling to read the Hebrew words correctly.

Rashi's bible version at Chabad has Abraham turning aside and saying if it please my lords, while the xtian version will read my Lord.

Could you please show me how the following words are written in hebrew and then all confusion will be swept away:...

Am I properly remembering the translated text in this thread's title? Could someone tell me the citation? It's a shred of a phrase that recurs to me as I ponder a friend's conversion to Judaism yesterday, and I'd like to use it properly to give him chizuk. Thanks for any help.

I'm tracking down textual sources for the song "Sameach Tisamach." The first sentence is easy, I think: the fifth of the Sheva Berachos. But due to my inexperience with Hebrew I'm having trouble finding the source for the following: "V'hu k'chadsan yotzei meichupaso." Thanks for any help!

I am looking for a Rabbinic perspective on a word, the word tzitzit. Does the Hebrew word mean anything more than just "fringe?" In other words, based on its linguistics can it have another meaning? Thanks.

Hello! What is the precise definition of sheqer (שׁקר)? Most lexicons I've read define it as a lie, deception and/or a false statement. Does this include half-truths or misleading statements, or is it restricted to false statements only?

I have a question on why the singular use of the vav conversive וַיֵּרֶד (And he descended) is used in the verse for Numbers 20 v. 28.

The sentence in Hebrew ויפשט מֹשה את-אהרֹן את- בגדיו וילבש אֹתם את-אלעזר בנו וימת אהרֹן שם ברֹאש ההר "וירד" מֹשה ואלעזר מן-ההר:׳
And Moses stripped Aarons vestments from him, and he dressed Elazar his son in them; than Aaron died there on the top of the mountain, and Moses and Elazar...

Hello! I'm looking for the meaning of תירושׁי (tirosh) in the following verses:

Judges 9 13. And the vine said to them, 'Should I leave my wine, which causes God and men to rejoice, and go to wave over the trees? '

and

Hosea 4 1. Harlotry and [old] wine and new wine take away the heart.

Does this imply תירושׁי is fermented?

I was glancing around for the origin and meaning of this word, but it seems there is a lot of different things on the internet about it. I don't know which one is correct. Does it mean 'let it be' , 'be firm' , 'truely or certainly', or is it an acronym for 'God, the faithful King' or something else?

How do you understand it?

Tense vs Aspect (Hebrew verb)

In my studies and experience most modern grammars declare Biblical/Classical Hebrew verbs to show aspect (perfect vs imperfect). However the oldest grammarians, and some newer for that matter, declare Hebrew verbs show tense (past, present, future). I've also heard some other theories as well.

I'd be curious what some of the Hebrew experts think about the whole tense vs aspect dispute among Hebrew verbs.

In the book of Leviticus there are two different spellings for the word sheep. Are they speaking of the same type animal and if so, why the variation in spelling?

Lev. 4 v 32 and Lev. 23 v. 12 is כֶבֶשׂ - Lev. 23 v. 19 is כְבָשִׂים pl.

Yet in Leviticus 3 v. 7 - 17 v. 3 - 22 v. 26 it is spelled כֶּשֶׂב and the pl. form would be in Lev. 22 v. 19 and Lev. 1 v. 10 כְּשָׂבִים

When the -הֲ prefix starts an interrogative clause how do I know where the question ends?

The chabad.org translates Yehoshua 22:20 as:

"Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? And that man did not perish alone in his iniquity."

Is possible to understand that the question already ends after...

Mishlei/Proverbs - Chapter 31

All the translations, both Jewish and Christian, seem to translate the 'bar' in this verse as 'son of'. Why would an Aramaic word crop in here when there aren't any more in Proverbs?

Am I the only one who finds this one sentence out of place and really incomprehensible as translated? The proverb is clearly talking about acting in a proper' way for a king, concerning the consumption of alcohol.

What do these sentences even mean?
