I said, "Moshe was discussing with Israel future prophets. The verse is contextually speaking of any prophet who would be born a Jew ["like me"], meaning, as opposed to a convert."
So I said the verse wasn't talking about ONE prophet but ALL legitimate prophet after Moses.

From R. Daniel's, I come away with the idea there hasn't been one like Moses yet. (And assurance "he" won't be a convert-Jew). (I'm going to resist what I want to really say here).
