I desire ALL of His truth, not just bits and pieces! I decided last spring to convert to Judaism...the reason being that I can not believe that the N.T. is reliable and I do not believe that Yeshua is the Messiah. Of course, in this time it has been a battle. I sure have been wrestling with G-d! To peel away all these layers of the Christian beliefs, even tho' I have been messianic for almost 4 yrs now, has been a task!
The N.T. to me is mostly fabricated. I have been learning about all these lies. Here is a letter that I wrote to a good friend about not wanting to continue with christianity or messianic beliefs:
Not very long ago if someone had told me that in the future I would not believe that Yeshua was the Messiah or that I would have doubts, I would have thought they were cracked! No way! Not me! I will always believe that yeshua is the Messiah!
But, as you well know by your own learning experiences in what G-d shows whom He chooses to enlighten with His truth, our hearts and minds change!
Both of us, you longer then me, have indeed gone from worhshipping a pagan god and religion to learning G-d's truth, step by step.
In this process, we learned about the pagan holidays and the wrong sabbath. Then we have learned about Torah and the Tenakh and even the Talmud. We have been learning about G-d's true Holy Days and how wonderful they are!
Then we learned about Yeshua and how He is not from a virgin conception nor is he G-d!
Where does G-d, our Father take us next? Both of us have been yearning in our hearts to convert to Judaism.
We both are longing for much more then just celebrating Chanukah or Passover! We still desire G-d's truth, all of it!
So, are you ready for what's coming? Are we both ready for more truth? Hold on my friend, for it's going to be a bumpy ride! All the other things that G-d has shown us has been fairly remarkable....but that is only the beginning! If we are willing to put our complete trust in G-d, then He will show us what we ask for! And what we ask for (His truth about Yeshua) may surprise the socks off of us and we may REALLY need to pay attention! We will not be liked at all on what we know or believe. We will be hated big time! Just when we thought we had a challenge to talk about Torah, there is tougher truth coming our way! Are we ready? Much prayer and persistence is needed on our part.
At this very momenent, what do I believe? What am I discovering?
Well, truthfully I am somewhat confused a little still....but, this is what I can only say at this time. After reading all that I have read, I can honestly say one thing: NO ONE on the planet living can say for sure and know for fact that Jesus Christ (Yeshua) ever existed and if he did NO ONE knows for a fact that he is the Messiah! No one!
The only way to find out is either by death or the ushering in of the Messiah.
I am in "limbo", no man's land I guess.....I can not call myself a Christian, I can not call myself a Jew and I can not even call myself a Messianic!
I am at a crossroad here and I do not know exactly where I will end up. But, this I can testify with some kind of relief: Yeshua could have (?) existed and he was a Rabbi and a prophet. Nothing else. That is all I know, period.
I don't know if he is the Messiah(highly doubt it now), I do not know if his life was fabricated, I do not know if he was a twin(thebiblefraud.com), I don't know what his exact teachings were.
All that I do know is that I am running to G-d even more so because I need to look to him on all things.
Maybe it's good to start from scratch? Whatever the case.....can I sit in a Christian church? No way! (not now!)
Can I sit in a Messianic congregation? Even this makes me feel uncomfortable. Can I sit in a synagogue like I have been doing? Yes! And if someday G-d chooses to show to me that Yeshua IS the Messiah, well, then I deal with that at that time. But, for now, I will definately convert, learn Hebrew, learn more about G-d's Holy Days, etc. and I am comfortable with that. I do trust that G-d will show me one way or another.
This was my letter to my good friend. I also wrote to them other things as well:
Truth or Myth?
There are several things that I am discovering and learning about the New Testament.
Throughout my notes I will use Jesus and Yeshua interchangeably for I am speaking
about the same individual (unless otherwise noted).
Jesus, Savior or Myth?
Several thousand years had past and the pagan non Jew majority had refused the Hebrew God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Persians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians, etc. had not accepted the God and religion of the Jews, EVER!
Despite God choosing the Israelites to be the light to the nations, ALL nations refused and they refused God's instructions and they CONTINUE to refuse God's instructions today, EVEN & especially Christians.
Christianity, as we know, refuses to believe that Torah (they call Law) is for today. They believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and the Law was nullified.
For us, we have learned that Torah is still for today and God's Word is forever. God didn't change His mind. Christians also believe that Jesus/Yeshua is God come in the flesh! They also believe that Jesus/Yeshua is from a virgin conception!
Because of these two factors , I started questioning these things even about messianics!
The more I dig into the Tenakh and the Talmud, I am learning that there are many, many differences and contradictions in the New Testament.
One thing that I question too is about human sacrifice. If Jesus was crucified, became the sacrifice for atonement, this would be NOT in alignment to Tenakh and would NOT be from God. God stopped Abraham from sacrificing his son!
Another question is about Yeshua's genealogy. According to the authors of Matthew and Luke, Yeshua's bloodline in NOT to be seated on a throne!
Clearly the authors fabricated the bloodline or they have the wrong savior!
The godman
Throughout ancient history prior to the life of Jesus, there were pagan cultures that believed in many gods. The Persian belief in Mithra and the Mediterranean god Dionysus. Both beliefs uncannily similar to the Christian belief! The godman, born of a virgin, the godman a healer, the godman killed and the godman resurrected!
All three of these have the same beliefs! These are just two examples to the many that are similar to Christianity!
I would like to make a point here. Why were the Israelites dispersed? Because they followed pagan beliefs! If Mithraism and Dioysusism and many others are pagan beliefs, is not Christianity as well?
How easy for these pagan non Jews to switch to Christianity! From one pagan god to another! Same story line, different names. Same celebration dates, different names!
The godman Jesus/Yeshua, Savior, the human sacrifice, who died for everyone's sins so they need not worry about disobedience!
I also wrote this:
Who is Jesus (Yeshua)?
Was Yeshua a mere man born to an ordinary young woman? Was he a Rabbi? Was he followed by some? Why did they follow him? What did he come to fulfill/complete?
Did he take it upon himself to be a Rabbi that brought back disobedient Jews to Torah? Did he take it upon himself to give hope to the down trodden (by Romans) Jews?
Did he truly teach what we see in the New Testament? Or did He teach only the Tenakh?
Did the Catholic church fabricate the New Testament? Did Yeshua teach Judaism thought? Why isn't he mentioned any where, no records of him? If the New Testament
Is fabricated, who then did it? Did Yeshua complete what he was set out to do?
Did the Jews misjudge him? Is his story wrongly told? Why doesn't the Talmud or other Jewish writings tell about all the male Jewish babies that were slaughtered by King Herod at the time of Jesus? Wouldn't this be a major event and greatly mourned by the Jews?
Why doesn't the genealogy line up to the Jewish protocol of a messiah? Why didn't Jesus tell his disciples that there MUST be more to Tenakh, to add a New Testamentyet this didn't happen until the disciples were dead and gone by 300 years when books were finally written!
Why did the Catholic church feel that it was their "duty" to "acquire" these writings when in fact no outsiders could do this task? Why did they insist on certain "books" and not others". Why have all of these so called original books disappeared?
These are many important questions I ask about the New Testament and Yeshua!
Jesus "in our hearts". Once a person accepts Jesus into their heart and acknowledges that
Jesus died for their sins and he is Lord God and Savior.
Thought:
In the N.T. it says, or rather Jesus says, if we deny him, he will deny us! Pretty strong
Words! Was this statement really his statement or did the Catholics add this? Is this a scare tactic? If God has plainly made it clear that salvation comes from repentance and Torah obedience.why would Jesus/Yeshua say he is the only way? Why would Jesus beat around the bush? Would he not say something like this: I am the Living Torah and
One can only be saved by Torah obedience. No one, he says, goes to the Father except through him! Through him? Why didn't he say: No one can enter the kingdom of God or no one can have a relationship with God unless they are obedient or have a repentive heart?
If there is no way to go except by believing in him, then Jews are condemened and this is
an anti-semetic statement.
God would have a double standard if He allowed human sacrifice. The N.T. does not line up with the Tenakh.
Opinion:
That the church forefathers/Catholic church altered, changed, fabricated the N.T.
Virgin birth
Genealogy
Teachings
Scare tactics- you MUST believe!
Paul's writings-questionable
Authors of the books in N.T. questionable
If the virgin birth is wrong, if the genealogy is wrong, if Yeshua's teachings don't line up to Tenakh, if the authors of these books are not really the authors, if there is anti semetism and scare tactics, then what does this mean? It means that the N.T. is unreliable. The Catholic church is guilty of fraud. Who can trust anything in the N.T.?
What parts are false and what parts are real? If it doesn't line up with Tenakh, it is misleadning and not from God.
Where are the accounts of Yeshua? No record of Pontius Pilate, no record of Jewish male babies being slaughtered, no mention of the multitudes that followed Yeshua, no mention by the Jewish philospher Philos who lived near Jerusalem, no mention of Yeshua
By Flavious who was a leader for a time in Jerusalem (just supposedly forged paragraph on Jesus).
Either Jesus/Yeshua did not exist or he was a very insignificant Rabbi and not noticed by many.
Thought:
A vile thought in Judaism: God impregnating a human!
Another thought:
If God impregnated a virgin..or even a non virgin..would this not be against Tenakh? Wouldn't God be doing something against what he says/teaches? Man and woman shall become as one! If Joseph had finally come together with Mary AFTER the union of God and Mary.he would have committed adultery!
This is sin no matter how ya look at it.be it by God or Joseph!
Virgin birth
Genealogy
Adultery
Illegitimate birth
Truth or Fabricated?
To who's best interest would these fabrications be for? Hmmm, a conqueror/leader/king? A new religious sect trying to appeal to the masses? Power control?
I remember reading somewhere that a Rabbi.either it was R. Hillel or R. Gamiliel, they had stated when confronted about Yeshuahe told them, leave him alone, other wanna be messiahs have come and gone.if he is false, he will be killed.
Yeshua was killed.
Did Constantine and the forefathers make Yeshua into something he wasn't? Did he even exist? What about King Herod.did he really kill all those baby boys?
Why do people accept Jesus/Yeshua?
Because:
#1. They don't want to go to hell.
#2. They want & need to be forgiven.
#3. A closer relationship with God, achieved by a mediator.
#4. They seek counsel.
#5. They want to repent and change.
Judaism:
#1. Salvation is thru' repentance and obedience. To Torah.
#2. God forgives when we come to Him with a heavy heart.
#3. No person dies for another, to die for their sins.
#4. Counsel comes from God's Word/Tenakh.
#5. There is no mediation needed between God and man to have a relationship,
just like Moses and others).
Why do Jews reject the N.T.?
1. anti semetic
2. 2. anti Torah
3. paganism
4. a man claimed to be God
Summary
Anti Messiah or Anti Torah?
No where in the Tenakh is there a mention of a anti messiah.but there is plenty of mention of those who are against Torah.
Why were the Israelites dispersed? Because they followed pagan beliefsother gods.
The world hates the Jews and the world hates Torah!
Not ever in history has the non Jew (a few being an exception, not the majority) turned to
the Jewish religion. The majority of non Jews HAVE accepted pagan beliefs, pagan gods, pagan myths and stories. How then, knowing these things and question these things
can I believe in a savior/messiah that goes against Tenakh? How then can I accept
the concept that this messiah was a human sacrifice? How then can I accept any
word to be truth in the New Testament? How can I accept a religion that is anti semetic?
Would I go on over to the pagan side and accept pagan stories and ideals and traditions, etc., knowing what I know? No! Can I believe in a messiah that has not fulfilled the Jewish protocol? Yeshua's genealogy is NOT of Royal bloodline and actually his ancestors were NOT to be on any throne!
So, I do believe that G-d is revealing these things to His non Jewish children. Some are open hearted and some are not.
