I am just right now a Ger who wish to be "converted" to Judaism...and obviously I do not want to compare my background-religious feeling. I do just want that...to Obey The Torah; Oral, Written...and to be connected with G-d : ). I do go to a humble shul, here in my place from september and it is very confortable to me, very very...and I do feel lucky... : ) Ps. I hope to learn more and more and to keep transforming myself... My grettings to this forum Thank you

And going to shul I do think it could be said "Ger", or maybe it is said "Ger Toshav"?. Obviously I have to keep learning : ) And I am gratefull for yours wellcomings : )

Sorry, if you have not converted to Judaism you are simply a "goy" -- non-Jew. If you eventually undergo a halachic conversion then you'll be a Jew. Still, welcome. In our days, a Gentile who has given up idolatry and who has accepted the Seven Laws of Noah is known as a גֵּר תּוֹשָׁב (ger toshav), also known as a בֶּן-נֹחַ (ben-no'ah). Posts: 1839 (03/17/09 14:05:49) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Uri, The Rambam rules in the Yad, Hilchot Avodah Zarah 10:6, that the provisions of Gér Toshav ("Resident Alien") were only in force when all or at least most of Yisrael were living in Eretz Yisrael; and in order to be considered a ben No'ah, a goy ("gentile") does not simply have to "give up idolatry and accept the seven mitzvot, but he must appear before a Beit Din (Court) consisting of three dayyanim (Rabbinic Judges) and make a solemn declaration that he has renounced idolatry and accepts upon himself the seven mitzvot (Yad, Hilchot M'lachim 8:10). I provided my explanation based on how the term is used today. I even consulted my Hebrew-Hebrew dictionary [מֵאָלֶף עַד תָּו - מִלּוֹן עִבְרִי שִׁמּוּשִׁי], edited by Me'ir M'dan [מֵאִיר מְדָן], who was the Scientific Secretary of the Academy for the Hebrew Language in Jerusalem. R. Alcalay's complete Hebrew-English/English-Hebrew dictionary also has the same explanation relative to גֵּר תּוֹשָׁב and בֶּן-נֹחַ. Thank you very much for your wellcomings and replies, it is very helpfully to me, really!!. : ) I know there are a lot of streams into judaism and I do almost understand the orthodox viewpoint about Halacha about how to obey The Holy Commandments. Which I do think it is pure literally... I do wish to be converted into judaism, to obey The Torah, which I do think I have done already, to perform all the Mitzvot and therefore to practice a G-dly life through becoming a Tzadiikk and becoming a humble mystic...The World and People needs G-d and I do think many of the Gentiles has lost their properly focus on what is a G-dly Life properly. Thank you once again. Surely I will be here for a long : ) Javier or Yosef once I do get my "conversion" process.

Some can only be done when the Temple is rebuilt. What do you think you have to do to become a Tzadikk? What do you mean by "humble mystic"?

So I do think to become ones I do must have discipline on applying The Sefiroth or Virtues written on The Torah. For humble mystic I do mean I have had my own experiences about transcending, because of my last past on meditation and I do still practice.

Doesn't 'goy' simply mean 'nation'? In Bereshis 12:2 it even says God will make Avram into a great 'goy'.
