Hi,
Just a bit about myself. I am a former Christian Minister who left Christianity after years of seeking the truth. What started me down a path of discovery was after 10 years of being a pastor I found out that my mother's grandfather was Jewish. Keep in mind I know that does not make me Jewish in the least. What I found was a cousin of my mother who was an observant Jew. That started me taking just basic Hebrew in a grad program. Even learning from a Christian professor I soon found problems with the Hebrew Tanakh and my basics beliefs. What a journey. It cost me everything, my job, house and even some family. At this point, six years later, I am still learning new things. Every book I can afford on Jewish thought and Judaism I read over and over. Rabbi Tatz and Rabbi Twerski are two of my favorite authors. Within the last year I read "Inner Space" by Rabbi Aryah Kaplan. I do not claim to understand much in the book but I have still studying it. Along those lines I know that I am required to follow the Laws of Noah and have spent some time just studying them and their meanings. Living among Christians who, upon learning my story, either try to convert me back or treat me like the most evil being that ever lived. It is hard for people to face a person who believed just as they do and now rejects it. Enough rambling about me.
