His age, for starters: christian “translations” always make it seem that he was still only a youngster when he defeated and killed Golyat, but he must have been 28 or 29 years old because he was 30 when he was made king (Sh'muél Beit 5:4) and he killed the giant in the first year of Sha'ul’s two-year reign (Sh'muél Alef 13:1 et seq.)
- What text does it tell us that Sha'ul reigned only 2 years?
- Why do other Christian "translations" make it appear he reigned for 42 years?
Believe it or not, Christian "twistaments" make it appear that king Sha'ul reigned for more than 2 years! The New International PERversion says, "Saul was [thirty] years old when he became king, and he reigned over Israel [forty-] two years."
(Also, what are facts about King Sha'ul that Christians almost always leave out)?
