Hi Chaim, According to your view, Daniel 9 has been going on for well over 2500 years (not 490) and hasn't even been fulfilled in Jesus yet. So how do you know he's the cut-off Messiah if what he did around 30ACE isn't mentioned in Daniel 9?

No, I am not saying that Daniel 9 has been going on for 2500 years. The counting of time of the 490 years was suspended with Jesus's crucifixion at 483 years. All of the prophecies in Daniel and the Christian Bible relating to the end times, will be fulfilled when the counting of time for that last 7 years resumes when Judaism's messiah arrives on the scene - which should be before the end of 2011.

To us, according to the King James in verse 26, there is indication that the messiah was cut off - but not for himself... which is what we believe that Jesus did - dying for the sins of the world, while he himself was without sin.

9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself : and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
