But Chaim admits that the prophecy was to usher in the Messiah and goes on to say that he didn't come because the Jews "weren't worthy". While the Talmud teaches that IF they werent worthy the Messiah would come anyway, albeit riding on a donkey. So either the Talmud is off or Chaims view about "cleaning up our act" is off. In my opinion , ofcourse, they're both off.
