shmelke -You claim that "everlasting righteousnes" comes later at the end of days. I already wrote that if this is true, we are not dealing with a fulfillement that missionaries can point to- rather we are being asked to believe that something will happen which has not happened yet.

I personally am not familiar with missionaires who claim that everlasting righteousness has been brought in. But speaking for myself, I don't see any evidence in surrounding world that everlasting righteousness is present.

btw, I have not been following the MT vs Dr. Brown debate that closely. So my comments may be muddying the waters. I am not trying to defend nor debunk Dr. Brown, either way. I am sure that you already take that into account in reading my comments.

The proof that there are 2 anointed ones is not limited to the two mentions of "anointed": it is also the 2 distinct times periods of 62 and 7. I explained why Brown has no good explanation for this.

I am not sure when the temple was ready again to renew sacrifices - if that is a factor or not. Maybe someone here could comment on when temple sacrifices resumed?

I don't know why the 7 years plus 462 years is so critical to Judaism as being a issue - because the total is still 483 years, 69 weeks. If Jesus arrives at the end of the 69th weeks and is crucified 4 days later - that leaves the one week, the 70th, still left. With the gap accounting for the 2000 years which the gospel was offered to the gentiles, while the Jews were in scattered among the nations.

When the Jews return to the land, the last week will commence (before that generation, who witness Israel's rebirth, passes away according to the Christian bible - yikes! I am 57. Not much time left :) ) and will be completed with the Kingdom of God being established here on earth, fulfilling Daniel 2 as well, at the end. IMHO.
