Thank you all for such a prompt response. There is so much information available that I sometimes lose track of where things are answered. The explanations given have a ring of truth to them. I firmly believe that you can only truly understand the hebrew scriptures in hebrew. It simply makes no sense that the rabbis would eliminate every supposed christological reference in their scriptures after the destruction of the temple, or whenever the masoretic text was first introduced. If they did, they certainly must have had divine influence since I see no way in which one can have a current day Tanach and see Jsus in it. I dare say it is intellectually impossible, not completely impossible since there are those who "just believe". With these kind of bitter accusations about the various sides manipulating the texts I find myself hoping beyond hope that The Almighty will have mercy on those that are seeking the truth but miss it due to deception. I read some very antisemitic web sites accusing jews of this deception. It makes no sense for the jewish people to decieve if it is so easy to accept Jsus. I pray that G-d justifies His servant Israel and that the whole world will come to this knowledge soon. I truly feel that one could make a decision based on history... Jews have been a good example of truly suffering for their faith in G-d's words and His promise. Christians are faithful and are definitely good people. It is just that I feel they may have been decieved and unfortunately, their history, while sometimes wonderful, is also full of sin and zealous persecution of Abraham's children. One could definitely look at the last 2000 years or so and make a decision. Just my thoughts of course.
