Dougg we have discussed this many, many, many times and I wonder why having been answered so often on this topic that you bring it up as if has never been asked and answered before?

It was even asked in "Ask the Rabbi" just in April of this year. Link.

It is hard to believe that you, a Xian unlearned in Rashi or any other Jewish sage, are now saying that you think Rashi believed what YOU want to believe with absolutely nothing but your own imagination (and no knowledge or Rahsi or Judaism) to back up this claim!

Don't you find that arrogant not to mention insulting?

You mention "10 toes" and "10 kingdoms" as if there is a correlation -- but you ignore the "test for ten days" (chapter 1) and that Daniel was "ten times better" (chapter 1).

In other words you try to stick together things that don't fit (square pegs into round holes) and ignore the ones that don't fit your hypothesis. This is not exactly a scientific method.

Rashi says that . The angel explained to him that the ten horns in Daniel 7:7 are the ten kings who be emperors of Rome before Vespasian (the emperor who destroyed the second Temple). See Daniel 7:24

Quote:
"24. And the ten horns that [sprout] from that kingdom [represent] ten kings"

FYI, Daniel chapter 2 doesn't say "ten toes." It simply says "toes." It does speak of two kingdoms that will be divided into "toes" (countries). This is the destruction of Rome which gave birth the the Xian nations of Europe and now America.

Quote:
Daniel 2:41. And what you saw, the feet and the toes-which were partly of potter's clay and partly of iron-so it will be a divided kingdom, and in it will be some of the strength of iron, in view of what you saw iron mixed with clay

The two kingdoms: Roman and Chrstian will fall when the messiah comes.

Ibn Ezra has a different perspective. He sees the third Kingdom as Rome (Rome and Chrstianity) and the fourth Kingdom as the Arabs (Islam).

Quote:
Rome is included in the third kingdom as relatives of the Greeks. The Romans are considered to be the Kittim mentioned in Numbers 24:24. In Genesis 10:4, Kittim are the sons of Yavan (Greece). The fourth kingdom according to Ibn Ezra, is the Arab kingdom.
