Debby, you didn't go far enough into the Parsha. Go to the bottom of the page and keep moving forward in the parsha until you come to Deuteornomy 7.

Parsha Va'etchanan contains Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11. Those links work and Deuteronmy 7:1-11 is part of the parsha.

Look again and go a bit farther into the commentary -- to the next page and the next. . .etc.

The mitzvah against intermarriage with non-Jews extens beyond those nations mentioned in Deuteronomy 7 per Avoda Zarah 36b. Also see Yad, Issurie B'yah 12:1. Deuteronomy 7 mentions seven specificnations. Per Yevamoth 76a Jews (except for Kohanim) may marry converts, but we may never marry those from the named nations even if they convert.

Hope that helps.

And everything that Sarah tells you, listen to her voice. Genesis, 21:12
