Hi Sophiee, Dougg -- and whose "years" are you using?

A year to me is one complete orbit of the earth around the sun. What is a year to you?

You said you did your dating "back to" 416.5 years before year "0" BCE. Well, using your erroneous dating neither Darius OR Cyrus OR Artaxerxes' decree which was in in 445 BCE (Nehemiah 2:5-7) -- not 416 BCE.

I agree 416 BCE is meaningless. But that is not MY erroneous dating, but the dating I get when counting back 486.5 years from 70 AD, when Titus stop the sacrifices by destroying the temple. I am looking at the Jewish claims and examining those, Sophiee.

If I have mistated something regarding Titus being the one who confirmed the covenant in Daniel 9:26-27, then please enlighten me.

So your dating is somewhere, somehow "messed up."

NONE of the decrees fit your dating schema.

Not sure how you did your math but I'd lay odds you aren't using Jewish dating to do so.

Again, I am using the Jewish assumption that Titus is the one who confirmed the covenant and then broke it.

Okay, let me ask this question... what year were the 490 years completed according to the Jewish view? Please express the CE year, so that we have some common ground for discussion purposes.

Sincerely,

Doug L.
