It is against forum rules to solicit donations by asking directly for assistance or doing so covertly..

Any posts containing statements asking for donations or speaking of financially difficulties which infer that donations should be sent to individuals willl be edited or deleted.

Please be careful with whom you share your personal information. The internet is replete with scam artists, pedophiles and others who prey on the kindness of strangers. While you are free to communicate with whomever you like the management highly suggests that you do so through the "private message" ability of this forum and not via email or phone.

Note that this rule is not directed at any one given individual who has posted here in the past, present or future. It is simply a rule to protect our valued members from being scammed.

There are many social agencies available to offer assistance to those in need. If one is Jewish the first place to start is your local Jewish Federation and / or Jewish Family Services.

Non-Jews are also given aid through Jewish Family Services.

Tzeddekah is a hallmark of Judaism -- and being good to your fellow man is considered a pillar of Judaism. Giving to charity, volunteering, etc. is part of being a mensch.

Just be careful.
