PNINAH:
was she fired from her job due to being ill?

REUVEN:
It would be illegal to fire her for being ill...especially since a doctor told her NOT to work....but to answer your question, no....she wasn't and will not be fired.

Anyhow...The way it was explained to me by the administrator is he is the one who denies or approves claims and he said he would not deny one. He said we could file one for some kind of temporary unemployment insurance....

We're going to check out it and get more info tomorrow....

Does someone need to be fired to collect unemployment? I ask because I know of at least one, maybe two people who have quit jobs and got unemployment. One of which worked where my wife works....

The woman had to quit because of some kind of family emergency and received unemployment checks weekly....

My wife has been working there for nearly 5 years and everyone loves her. The administrator himself said Jennie is one of their best and he is sorry she has to miss work because it will have an effect on the place....

I think that what the administrator was referring to is what LeAnn posted about. Perhaps he meant to call it SDI and referred to it in general terms as unemployment...I don't know...

The last time I collected unemployment was nearly 15 years ago and not in Oregon so I don't know how it works here. We're going to check it out tomorrow since our day was packed with appointments...

Speaking of appointments, my wife sees the wound nurse, tomorrow before infusion begins then, Wednesday, she sees the surgeon for follow up...Infusion Services ends Friday morning....then we wait to make sure the wounds are no longer seeping and she no longer has hardened spots still needing draining....this is also what takes time, apparently.

I would also like to remove the subject of money/income from this thread...please. Perhaps I should not have posted about the unemployment or SDI or whatever it's called so, my bad, I guess...

I would like to make this the last post that has anything to do with money or how we will get through this financially. I trust that HaShem will provide for us as I try my absolute hardest and best to provide for my family.

I am truly appreciative of the advice on how to tap resources. I welcome the advice but other than that, all I'm asking for is prayer for all of us who are dealing with this along with other stressful things. Discussing money causes more stress and all I'm asking for is prayer....nothing more.

Yesterday I was worried about not having enough money to pay a bill. This kind of worry isn't healthy, especially now...Today a check came to me from one of my clients who I thought wasn't going to pay me at all....when I took his site down for non-payment, he called, we talked and he sent a check. I put it his site back online tonight after getting my snail mail and finding his payment...we paid the bill.

So....We need strength, courage, patience, and healing. Please concern your prayers for these things...

Again, thank you all for your prayers.
Goodnight.
