A quick update for you...

My wife is about a week or so from completely healing meaning, the wounds are closed and she is doing great! I want to thank all of those who have prayed during this long, hard trial.

Oftentimes we have obstacles we must face...sometimes, we do not know why, sometimes we do. For whatever reason, having my wife come so close to death (30-36 hours) was what happened and as a result, naturally, I want to know what I was to learn from all of this as well as what my wife and daughter were to learn.

Love.

Love that you think is perfect and that you could not love your spouse any more than you already do and then this. When you come so close to losing the loved ones in your life, it is devastating as well as a means to bring people far more close than they were prior.

My wife and I have been together for many years.

Love comes into our lives via many people but there is no love like that of a happily married couple.

Perhaps there's more to learn here and from where I sit, I know there is....for a long time to come.
