What I think I see, when I look at the world, is that divine interventions in history are rare.

Especially rare are "rescues" that involve impacts upon matter -- un-earthquaking an earthquake, for example.

Far more common, I think, are incidents wherein HaShem applies as it were a healing finger to some person's soul, giving her or him, say, the willingness and desire to forgive some enemy --

-- or to "keep on keepin' on" in the face of dire material circumstances that are not, themselves, likely to change.
