Especially rare are "rescues" that involve impacts upon matter -- un-earthquaking an earthquake, for example.
Far more common, I think, are incidents wherein HaShem applies as it were a healing finger to some person's soul, giving her or him, say, the willingness and desire to forgive some enemy
Harry I see HaShem working in many ways each and every day of my life. Whether or not I see it is how hard I look.
I have seen healings that are unexplainable by the Drs. A couple examples are within my own family. My mother who passed away from cancer 15 yrs ago had a colostomy attachment for her kidneys. It crystallized which meant they had to attach a tube to her kidney to the bag. This was very painful for her to sit or lie down. Yes we prayed for her and two weeks after the tube was inserted she noticed that the Colostomy was once again working. Drs. didn't believe her this stuff didn't happen once crystallized that was it, no good anymore. Well they took the tube out and she didn't have to have it reinserted again. Why did HaShem just make her more comfortable instead of healing her. I don't know but I do know that G_d intervened in the situation or it wouldn't have happened.
Case no 2. My brother was vacationing in Mexico when he suffered a heart attack. His heart stopped then and there. His wife knew CPR and started to administer it right away. They were in an elevator when it happened. When the reached the bottom floor, their scuba diver instructor happened to be waiting to get on the elevator. He too helped in administering CPR. The time between when he went down and the trip to the hospital and his heart starting to beat on it's own again was 1 hr. and 15 min. Think about that. Drs. stop CPR on an average of what 10-15 min. That night they air vac'ed him to Miami Fla. At that time there was a hurricane heading for Miami, the plane they were in scared my sister in law so bad she didn't think it would make it across the gulf, she didn't have their passports. It was an unscheduled flight, yet the airport let them land and got him to the hospital. To top it off the hurricane suddenly turned north and the coast was clear for the continued flight in. The next morning he regained consciousness and started pulling out tubes. When they removed the tube from his throat he immediately spoke and want to know what was going on. Unfortunately he does suffer short term memory loss but he has learned to compensate for it. The whole Dr staff was astonished that the man had regained consciousness, let alone was anything but a vegetable. That was 10 yrs. ago, did G_d intervene? I know he did.
If you've never been in deep soulful prayer and then experienced the release of knowing it was just answered then you probably wouldn't understand what I'm saying when I tell you that that is what happened with pray for him. Yes HaShem intervened he saved my brother from death.
You have to look into tragedies in order to see G_d working, Saving someone, from circumstances that are beyond your imagination. Car accidents were the person should have been crushed and they come out with only scratches and bruises. HaShem does it all the time.
Un-earth quaking an earthquake, well not lately. (only superman does that
.. just kidding) But I would say he has made sure that some where or some how something fell over a person in such a way that it protected them from harm.
