Of course G-d has mercy -- if He didn't He wouldn't have created us in the first place!

Mercy and redemption are very different things from being "saved." One infers that you are "bad" and need someone to save you from yourself.

Mercy and redemption recognizes that we are good AND bad -- imperfect. G-d created us that way so by experiencing the bad we could appreciate the good. He understands us far better than we understand ourselves, and so indeed He has mercy.

If you do not understand the reason you exist you might want to take a few classes with a good rabbi. (I'm not joking). G-d created each of us for a very special purpose -- not just for this world, but for ourselves. You are special and you are holy.

As King David said (Psalms 8:4),

Quote:
"When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have set in place, 'What is frail man that You should remember him, and the son of mortal man that You should be mindful of him?' Yet, You have made him but slightly less than angels, and crowned him with soul and splendor..."
