Sophiee1,
My take is this -- let the Arabs who want to be Israelis stay. Make them citizens, just like so many other Arabs. The ones who don't want to be Israelis -- give them money. Heck, Arafat stole over 2 billion, what is a few billion more?

I agree with you.
What's funny is after living in San Diego for years. I witnessed people from all over the world getting along just fine. Why can't Israel just be Israel and allow the Palastinians to become Israelis living within Israel?
There's no reason Israel should be split to accommodate a Palestinian state.

Good grief, what if that happened in America. It just might. :eek

This is how we will ensure pikuach nefesh. The lives of Palestinians are valuable, too. It hurts to know that their own leaders have been so horrible to them that they live in squalor. We should try to help them -- but helping doesn't mean giving them land they didn't own in the first place.

Very true!

BTW, most of the modern "Pals" didn't own land there. They were migrant workers or nomads who did work for wealthy land owners who lived in other places).

I say give them a chance -- but giving them a scrap of land that isn't theirs is not the solution.

Giving them a chance is good but giving them the land will prove unproductive!!!!
Do you give an "unruly" people a reward and expect the unruly people's behavior to improve???
No, they will act up again to receive another reward.
To me, the Disengagement is as stupid as me paying my kids to be good. When they want more pay they'll just act up again so I'll offer them more pay to be good. Daaa
Opps, there goes my opinion again!:lol
