- I tell ya what -- forget about all that lawyer/witness stuff (it quickly gets too complicated) and just try to answer all questions as directly, and as "unexpandedly," as possible (just answer the question -- without any excuses or explanations). If you wish to expand upon your answer, try to separate the expansion from the simple answer. If you wish to ask your own questions re the sub-sub-thread, try to separate that also. I just want to slow this process down and isolate the different points of departure -- so that we can better see and understand the dynamics of our disagreements...
- One tricky part is that a single post can produce numerous 'loose ends' (comments that need responding to and questions that need answering). Here's where I'll try to "track" one loose end at a time. I think that's how we can actually "get somewhere" in an argument. I'll try to explain as we go.
