A point on which Stu's wrong: universalists don't require anyone to believe in anything.
The very reason for this forum is anti-missionary.
The Christians are attempting to get all others and ESPECIALLY JEWS to convert to their way of believing. Why? They need others to validate their doubts.
You cannnot be 'saved' for free. You first have to give up your common sense and exchange learning for believing.
Why else "Creation Science"?
Imagine a Jew coming up with such non-sense?
That ain't free.

If Jesus really lived and died, Jesus was not God.
If Jesus died on Friday and less than 36 hours later on Sunday he undied, Jesus made no real sacrifice.
