What ignorance is this? It is 1 am and am much too tired to rebut but will after Shabbat, unless something more valuable comes along than to relieve you as did Perry all of us such tripe, in which case you're on your own. "Phoenecians" (sic) you say. Haha. I was brought up in England. Ever heard of Piltdown man? You remember, that skull which proved to scholars of the enlightenment that Adam must have been English! Honestly, where do you russle up this stuff? Try reading on a subject first. Care to instruct us on the historical dating of the "Phoenicians" compared to the most ancient alphabetic inscription known to date? No really, I mean it, go on, give it a try.
I studied anthropology and linguistics, and have a degree in communications and foreign languages. Since your education is apparently based on the internet, see:

According to contemporary scholars, the modern script used for writing Hebrew (usually called the Jewish script by scholars, and also traditionally known as the square script, block script, or Assyrian script - not to be confused with the Eastern variant of the Syriac alphabet) evolved during the 3rd century BC from the Aramaic script, which was used by Jews for writing Hebrew since the 6th century BC. Prior to that, Hebrew was written using the old Hebrew script, which evolved during the 10th century BC from the Phoenician script; the Samaritans still write Hebrew in a variant of this script for religious works (see Samaritan alphabet).
