tyolilums,

Paul basically writes in 1Cor 15, I am either of Adam, flesh and blood, that will die and return to the dust of the earth or I am of Christ and of heaven and bear the image of my Father.
This difference is entirely man-manufactured. Everybody is made of a combination of physical and spiritual. One is incomplete without the other, and that goes for this world as well as the time of resurrection. When you die, no matter what religion you believe in, your body will go back to the earth which it came from. The spirit to G-d Who gave it. And save a certain category of rebellious we will be resurrected, our souls back into physical bodies.

As for Kabbalah being a western attempt at eastern beliefs, this couldn't be further from the truth. There is nothing western about Judaism nor Kabbalah except for the things which the west has picked and chosen from Judaism to base their morality on. We are smack dab in the middle of the world, in the middle of the continents. I won't go deep into this, because Medini has already covered it.
