Council of Nicea, 325 CE codified the trinity as a Xian belief.

If I may beg to differ - the Council of Nicea codified that yeshu was "Very G-d of Very G-d". The "holy spirit" didn't make it a trinity until the Council of Constantinople in 381 CE.

The original Nicean creed simply stated a belief in "the holy ghost". In 381 CE, officially elaborated "the holy ghost" as "who proceedeth from The Father, who with The Father and The Son together is worshipped and glorified, who spake by the prophets".
