Hi Chaim, If Rabbis made an effort to influence world Jewry to distance themselves from early church-father teachings which you admit to be heretical, how can you fault them? Looks to me that if you could go back in time, you'd side with the Rabbis against every historical christian whose articulated beliefs survived throughout history. Your thoughts?

The words in bold above are not my words, Chaim. I never said the first century Christians believed anything different from Christians of today, speaking within the parameters of the trinity.

If you are looking for differences within Christianity, to a point, then I would suggest browsing through Revelation 2-3 about the seven churches. The churches of Philadelphia and Laodocia are applicable to my generation IMHO.

I would not side with the Rabbi's because they rejected Jesus as the Messiah. On the other hand, I wouldn't embrace any false doctrine from fringe theologians that are present in every age, such as Mormons and JW's either.

Sincerely,

Doug L.
