Hi Chaim, The church-fathers' writings and everything else from that time hardly constitutes fringe theology. It's all there is. There's nothing from that time period in agreement with your beliefs.

The "church fathers", if you want to use that term, are the disicples and Paul. I doubt if you have ever been to a Church service but if you did you would find that the sermons take excerpts from the nt and the ot.

The theology of Christians is found in the four gospels and writings of the nt. The early church believed what they were taught by the disciples and Paul. That continues right up until today.

Can you name even one influential christian from about 120-381 ACE whose beliefs were articulated and survive until this day?

Humanly speaking there is no reason anyone would have kept a record of that sort.... because in Christianity, the record is being kept by God with 100% accuracy.

Have you written down a record of what you theologically believe, in detail, and sealed it in a time capsule for future generations so that it won't disintegrate? If not, why would you expect Christians of their time to do such a thing?

If not, what makes you think even one christian of that time period shared your beliefs?

Because it is written in the nt that Jesus stated that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His church. The church, built up Jesus being the Messiah, the Son of God, which Peter under inspiration from the Holy Spirit said that of Jesus, is indestructible. So every Christian of any period must stand upon that solid ground - otherwise they are not a Christian, but something else. If they are something else, then "no", they would not be in agreement with me or any other Christian.

Sincerely,

Doug L.
