Ignatius neer mentioned the trinity as 3 gods in 1. Actually he spoke of "our god Jsus" -- but this would make him a dualist -- 2 gods, not 3.

He never said the holy spirit was part of G-d. Sorry Aad, no trinity in the writings of Ignatius.

The first use of the idea of trinity came in 180 CE from Theophilus -- but he didn't use it to speak of 3 gods in 1. He spoke of the first 3 days of creation as being comparable to G-d, G-d's word and G-d's wisdom -- not they are SEPARATE.

So even as late as 180 CE you still don't have the triune god concept that comes clearly from non-Jewish (pagan) sources.
