Doug wrote: The above excerpt, Chaim, was not a newly created theology but a statement of faith of what Christianity had always been... the trinity, based upon the nt fundamentals to Christianity from the very beginning.
Malachi's response: That is simply not true. Doug you have not answered any of my questions concerning the diety of the Holy Spirit. You have not answered why John called The so called Second person of the Trinity in Revelations 3:14 the begining of the creation by G-d. Here John says he had a begining and you cannot refute it because the Greek grammer means exactly that, he was created before all things according the the early church.
Doug, What do you think about what Justin Martyr said about Jesus?:
Then I replied, "I shall attempt to persuade you, since you have understood the Scriptures, of what I say, that there is, and that there is said to be, another God (ALLOS QEOS) and Lord subject to the Maker of all things; who is also called an Angel, because He announces to men whatsoever the Maker of all things, above whom there is no other God,wishes to announce to them."(Dialugue with Trypho, LVI)
As it appears, the christians of the second century, regarded Jesus as "another God" (ALLOS QEOS) subject to the One "above whom there is no other G-d". Then, they (those christians) thought that Jesus being G-d, was not the same G-D with the Father.
This destroyes what you said about they always believed in the Trinity from the very begining has proven to be not true to fact.
Regards,
Malachi
