Gee, Dougg it is interesting that you quote Justin Martyr when he says:

Quote:
Then I replied, "I shall attempt to persuade you, since you have understood the scrip-tures, of what I say, that there is, and that there is said to be, another G-d and L-rd subject to the Maker of all things; who is also called an Angel, because He announces to men whatsoever the Maker of all things, above whom there is no other G-d,wishes to announce to them."(Dialogue with Trypho, LVI)

but you do not quote Martyr where he has his fictional Jew, Trypho, reply:

Quote:
Then Trypho said, "We do not perceive this from the passage quoted by you, but [only this], that it was an angel who appeared in the flame of fire, but G-d who conversed with Moses; so that there were really two persons in company with each other, an angel and G-d, that appeared in that vision."(Dialogue with Trypho, Chapter LX).

Keep in mind that Martyr wrote this as a conversion tool similar to the Michael Brown's of today. Trypho was not a real person but rather Martyr's fictional counterpart so even the Jewish POV is really Martyr's take on it.

Even so Justin has the Jew stating that G-d was not in the flame. G-d is not multiple entities. From your own source, Dougg.
