What did Stephen, being full of the spirit, see when he looked up into heaven? Nothing?

Stephen saw a vision, he was filled with the Spirit. The old and the young will see visions/dreams (Joel).

Also, why would "more" need to be revealed about God's nature?

Because the revelation of God from the beginning has been a gradual process; it is a matter of respect for history that the revelation of God, His Name, proceeded in steps. The last and final boost of the knowledge of God comes with the Messiah; under His reign God will be known and worshiped universally; the Messiah is the final word of God to mankind.

Did the Jews at the time of Jesus believe in a Trinity? Would this be a G-d that their fathers did not know? The answer is YES! They never believed that G-d was a Trinity.

It would be a God their fathers knew very well, through the word He had spoken.
'Trinity' is a doctrine that was explicitly formulated in the fourth century. This doctrine is about the Nature of the one and only God, the God of Abraham, the God of Izac, and the God of Jacob. The doctine says something about God, the creator of heaven and earth. The 'Trinity' does not point to another God or other gods.

A final question, "If Jesus believes himself to be God, why doesn't he just say it? Why are we left to solve a mystery? When God wanted Israel to keep the Torah and made the obedience to the Torah a matter of life or death in this world and the next he was very clear about what the Torah is. Wouldn't he be equally clear if he wanted us to believe He was a Triune being?

You cannot mean to say that the God of the HT is not a mystery? To me the God of the HT is a mystery that cannot be solved. This mystery has not changed in the GT: it is the same mystery. Jesus was very clear: I'm the light, I'm the bread of life, I'm the water of life etc. Why are you asking for his name all the time? (Gen.32:29; Judg.13:18 ). Of course he does not say: I'm God; first and foremost because he was a man of flesh and blood, living the life of a Torah-obedient servant of God and man. Jesus did not discuss the trinity, I think maybe he had a life to live and a job to do....? :)
