Another name:
Quintus Septimius Florens aka Tertullian (ca. 160 - ca. 230), of Carthage.

Tertullian defends in his Adversus Praxean (Against Praxean, espec. ch. 8, 12, 13) the doctrine of the Trinity; it is claimed that he for the first time used the word 'trinitas', meaning trinity, to describe God, Father, Word and Sprit. When I read parts of it, it amazed me that we are inventing the wheel again (as allways); a lot of his reasoning is familiar.

It can be found on the www by google: tertullian and org :)
