UriYosef:
they were temporary measures that didn't provide "eternal life".

Uri, I'm sure you know I'm aware of this. It's a critical distinction between the blood of Jesus and the blood of bulls and goats, as described in Hebrews 10.

Of course, I see that as a good thing. You apparently see it as yet another reason not to believe.

Sophiee1:
Haven't we covered this all before, Mark?

As it pertains to Chaim's original proposition, I was simply pointing out that the gospels and epistles don't emphasize Jesus' divinity because that is a truth which (I think) must instead be revealed by the Holy Spirit after one has accepted what they do emphasize, which is salvation from sin through Him.

The rest was a response to Netanel's comment.

Netanel:
Do you read the responses people make to you, or do you just post responses to what you would have preferred them to say?

Erm... the former.

Netanel:
No matter how bad you wish it to be so, pagan theology antithetical to Torah will never be the same as or equivilent to the word of Hashem and His Torah.

Okay, thanks Netanel.

Peace :)
