Dougg,
You have no christian witnesses to a Trinity existing for 300 years after Jesus. Every document we know of written "against heresies" shows that the early church-fathers were defending their own special type of heresy/idolatry against another heresy/idolatry - none, whether the doctrine they defended or fought against, were related to the Nicean creed. You take it only on faith alone that real christian trinitarians existed for 300 years after Jesus.

Check out that link and the quotes from Tacitus, Josephus, etc.., and also look at Josephus' Antiquities and you'll find nothing about Jewish belief in anything remotely resembling a Trinity. So much for your Rabbinical conspiracy theory, huh?

The only conclusion that can be made is that the Nicean creed taught about a 'god' who was totally unknown to Jews and Christians of the 1st century. A 'god' our fathers, neither yours or mine, ever knew.
