Chaim ben Yaakov:
You write that you believe Jesus was fully divine...

Absolutely, yes.

Chaim ben Yaakov:
you also write above that nowhere does Jesus demand we recognize him as God.

Yes...

Chaim ben Yaakov:
How can you believe in Jesus' divinity but not believe he's God?

Now that I never said. All I am trying to say is that I don't think the New Testament views Jesus' divinity as something that we must beat people over the head with. It is instead something that God seems to reveal to people when they're ready. The first step is usually to recognize our need for help, for salvation.

Chaim ben Yaakov:
Why fight so hard to defend the Trinity if it's secondary to belief in Jesus' sacrifice?

Well, when it does come up, I "fight so hard to defend (Jesus' divnity)" because, as I said before, the cross truly is the consummate revelation of God's character, in all His judgment and wrath, but also His love and, yes, humility.

Peace :)
