Mark,

Some questions I need to ask you for clarification, okay?

1. Do you believe Jesus is God? Yes or No? I wouldn't ask if I didn't know.

2. If you lived about 1980 years ago, would you have worshipped at Jesus' feet? If yes, how is this not idolatrous? If no, is this a problem for those who would? It seems people in the NT did so.

3. How can it be said that a believer who has the "spirit" in them, knows God, when they really don't have a clue as to what they're worshipping, especially if they believe in dualism, gnosticism, or some other heresy? How credible is a christian's witness to a Jew when that Christian seems non-chalant or indifferent as to the god they advise us to worship?

4. Related to that, didn't Jesus say to the Samaritan woman that Jews know what they worship (as in no questions asked, bottom line is that Jews know what they worship)? See Isaiah 45:19 where God says He does not expect us to seek Him in vain. See Isaiah 43:10-12 where we are witnesses to His unity. Further, how can the object of our worship not be the most important aspect of our relationship and servitude towards God?

5. It seems you're giving short-shrift to idolatry and heresy, as though God doesn't really mind it so much. So long as we believe a human died for our sins (whether divine or not, who cares) it makes no difference how we worship or view God, whether heretical, idolatrous, etc. As though all the commandments throughout Tanakh and all the examples of God's wrath WRT idolatry in the Tanakh aren't big deals anymore. I'm flabbergasted with your view!

I know this is a lot to answer. Please do what you can and take your time. Thanks.

ps
Since I did ask a lot of Mark, I invite the other christians here to chime in and help out with these questions.
