Mark,

1. You believe Jesus is God, and that he did not demand others in the NT to believe that. However, despite never demanding this from believers, you think the NT still teaches the doctrine pretty clearly. The problem is that it really doesn't matter what you believe, Mark. History refutes your view as no evidence exists that proves Trinitarians existed from 80-380 ACE. Unitarians today refute your view that you think is clear. The fact Jesus did not clearly teach this INCREDIBLY important doctrine refutes your view. To complicate things, you say you worship God through Jesus who you say is God. Therefore, you worship God through God. I think the reason we don't see Trinitarians from 80-380 ACE is because the doctrine is so nonsensical, unbiblical, and as you agree - not known to any Jews before that time.

2. If you had lived 2000 years ago, believing Jesus was God, you would not have worshipped at his feet? Is that what you're saying? Or are you saying since he wasn't an ordinary human being, you would have?

3. As for the "contrived" Noahide covenant, they didn't need scriptures then. Their common ancestor was Noah also. As humans, all should know to follow their conscience. God expects certain things from us all - whether the pre-flood generation before Noah, or the Sodomites, Amelikites, Ninevites, and Babylonians after Noah. Had these people followed their conscience without the aid of scripture, God wouldn't have had the major issues He had with them.

4. If the divinity of Jesus is essential to christian belief, how can you maintain that heretical or idolatrous christians are most likely in good hands with nothing to fear? Obviously it's not essential, is it? As you stated, Jesus never demanded that he be seen as divine anyway. So how essential could this be?

5. Do you realize that by agreeing Jews did not worship a Trinity pre-Jesus, you make the case for Jews today who should not believe in the Trinity? God says repeatedly in Torah not to worship gods our fathers never knew. That's a show-stopper, Mark! How can you expect faithful Jews to start worshipping a god our fathers never knew?
