Malachi's response: I actually was referring to all the Trinitarians on this forum, but you still believe in that man made doctrine don't you?. Not one Trinitarian that I know has answered my question about Col:1:15 concerning "Firstborn of" I've seen many try and some of the Trinity's top debaters like Robert Bowman to name one could never refute it. They eventually left it alone and jumped to someother point not connected with it.
As for me I was a Trinitatrian and born again believer since I was 12 years old living in NC. It wasn't until later in life when I was a soldier in Germany that I found out the doctrine of the Trinity was not taught by Jesus nor any of his disciples.
I had every book on the Trinity, use to spend most of my paycheck on books about it and studied with the late Dr. Walter Martin, author of Kingdom of the Cults back in 1977. I even bought his tape series on "How to Witness to a Jehovah's Witness" I even started a ministry to convince the JW's of the truth of the doctrine of the Trinity. I did this while stationed at Ft Bragg, NC and use to visit my mother in NY. Hey my leaving the church didn't happen overnight it actually took a while before I decided that the evidence was overwhelming that Jesus was not the Messiah and he was not G-d or part of a 3 in one G-d.
So, I know the doctrine very well, and I know it is not taught and cannot be taught without presuppoing the doctrine first and then look for verses that seem to support it. Trinitarians use these verses like building blocks to back up a false doctrine. Why not start a study on the each gospel without presuppoing the doctrine in the first place? That is what I did.
No, the disciples did not believe in a Triune G-d nor did they believe that Jesus was some how the Almighty Jehovah (YHWH).
Want to learn what the ancient Jews believed about G-d?, then you have started at the right place at Messiah Truth with teachers like Professor Uri and others here.
Regards,
Malachi
