To the Trinitarians on this forum. I've heard this a lot during your discussions about the Trinity. You begin with the phrase "this verse does not contradict the doctrine of the Trinity" or something similar. The real question is "does the doctrine of the Trinity contradict the Hebrew Bible or GT?" If the Trinity is based on either, why not just use the Hebrew Bible or GT to refute the hundreds of scriptures that imply that Jesus is not G-d instead of using the definition of the Trinity doctrine?

Why would that be an important thing to do? Because one cannot use the doctrine of the Trinity to refute verses that are used to show the Trinity doctrine is not true. In order to be able to use something as evidence or support of a claim, that evidence first has to be proven to be reliable and correct. Since the discussion is on whether or not the Trinity is true, The Trinity cannot be used to support the Trinity? This is the circular reasoning that Trinitarians are forced to use in order to defend their man made doctrine.

Did the Jews at the time of Jesus believe in a Trinity? Would this be a G-d that their fathers did not know? The answer is YES! They never believed that G-d was a Trinity. Take a look at John 8:54

Jesus answered: If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father that glorifies me, he who you say is your G-d!

Undeniable the Jews claimed YHWH as their G-d. Jesus did not say he was YHWH but that YHWH was his Father. He did not claim to be their G-d but he did claim his Father was their G-d.

This proves it without a doubt, the Jewish people never understood G-d as a Trinity or that there was a G-d the Son, second person of the Trinity. Only the Father was understood to be G-d. Case is really closed this time.

Malachi
