Rebecca the "sceptre" image comes from GENESIS.

OK.
The scepter imagery is also found in Psalm 45:6 (45:7 Hebrew Bible):

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

This Psalm is referenced in our book of Hebrews, Chapter 1 v.8.

Quote:
Note that Clement doesn't quote the gospels anywhere at all. Not once.

Chaim asked for sources from early church fathers regarding how they understood the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, so I started with one of the earliest extra-biblical fathers.

Regarding the gospel, Clement lived concurrently with the apostles; he knew some of them.
He relays the gospel himself.

1Clem 7:4
Let us fix our eyes on the blood of Christ and understand how precious it is unto His Father, because being shed for our salvation it won for the whole world the grace of repentance.

1Clem 42:3
Having therefore received a charge, and having been fully assured through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and confirmed in the word of God with full assurance of the Holy Ghost, they went forth with the glad tidings that the kingdom of God should come.
