Why would G-d reveal Himself by the representation of three men? This must have a special meaning. Do you know why?

G-d did not "reveal Himself" as one of three men.

G-d appeared to [Abraham] in the Plains of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance of the tent in the hottest part of the day. - and THEN three men appeared.

Quote:
Genesis 18:1. Now HaShem appeared to him in the plains of Mamre and he was sitting at the entrance of the tent when the day was hot.

G-d appears to Abraham.

Quote:
Genesis 18:2. And he lifted his eyes and saw, and behold, three men were standing beside him, and he saw and he ran toward them from the entrance of the tent, and he prostrated himself to the ground.

So G-d is "with" Abraham when Abraham lifts his eyes and sees three men next to him.

This is known as chronological order.

Ergo G-d is not one of the three men.

They show up later, and the Torah even says "BEHOLD!!" -- this is further stating that these three appeared after G-d.

G-d manifests Himself in Torah, but interestingly enough Torah never says HOW He manifests Himself. Abraham knew G-d was there, but to the detriment of the Xian idea of G-d as a man He is never so described. Indeed, the opposite is true and we are often told He is not a man. . .
