Sophiee,

I pretty much told him that scripture says exactly the opposite of what he was saying. Job is an example of a Gentile who is certainly no slave and I could not imagine that someone whom G-d calls a righteous servant (Job) could ever be put into any kind of subjugation by the Jewish people or any other people for that matter at the end of days. Of course, this led to my friend citing various battles in which the Jewish people are instructed to kill every man woman and child. I responded that they were obeying commands from G-d and in truth did not always do as they were told. Additionally, I think the discussion between Abraham and G-d about the righteous, versus the wicked, is a good point to bring up. I think that this one conversation shows how G-d expects the Jewish people to be not only a light for the gentiles, but also a shield as Abraham was, as Moses was. Please feel free to correct me if I am off target here. These are simply my own thoughts on the matter.

Thank you,

Tony
