Dougg:

Oy, here we go again! Just because G-d CAN do something doesn't mean at all he will.

G-d more than once had said he is NOT a man (or a dog, cat, cow, lamb, bovine, bird, tree, storm, etc). Once you open the possiblity that G-d can be human then you must not stop there. If G-d can be a human, then he can be a pig, a favorite pet, a storm, a spatial phenomeon, etc. Xtians NEED Him to be human to substantiate the pagan-induced claim of the Incarnation. However this is all ludicrous. How can G-d move from Infinite to finite? How can the ocean be fit into a cup and still contain all the force, power and life of the ocean? This is what you are doing. You're trying to play Play-Doh with the Divine.

G-d HIMSELF revealed this in Numbers and again to Isaiah. G-d said He is NOT human therefore this cultic pagan mitras-borne nonsense of a god coming in human form is NOT, repeat NOT part of the Torah or the Tanakh. In short, G-d IS NOT and HAD NOT and WILL NOT be human! Do you get it??

As sophiee told you, the Hebrew word used for messenger can be human or divine, but it is NOT G-d. G-d did not come as three messengers. YOU need that to substantiate your belief in the trinity. However, that is NOT what the Torah bears. And it doesn't matter if the messengers were angels or men. You're missing the point.. the point is they were MESSENGERS. They were sent (sent however G-d decreed) to rescue Lot and his family AS A RESULT OF ABRAHAM'S "INTERCESSION" FOR THE FOUR CITIES. Like I said, it doesn't matter if they were angelic or human because the Hebrew doesn't necessarily make that distinction as either way, they can be Messengers of G-d.

G-d NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER violates what He himself sets and a fundamental truth. When G-d says He is NOT human, He never WILL be Human. end of story.
