In these passages whoever put these words in Jsus' mouth accuses the Jews of being responsible for the murder of all the righteous of mankind from Abel to Zechariah.

This kinda ignores the fact that there were NO Jews in the time of Abel, Noah, etc. In other words it is anti-semitic drivel to convince others that Jews are bad and damned, ergo turn to that Xian love! How can someone be responsible for something done by others long before his or her own birth?

You would not believe how many people think that Adam, Eve, Abel, Noah, et al, were Jewish simply because Matt 25:35 (NIV) says 35 And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. I see it on YouTube comments in regard to Noahide videos stating that Noah, Adam, Abram, were Jews. Some even write that the Noahide movement is the tool of the Antichr-st. The writer of Matt does say that the teachers of the Law and the Pharisees, from that moment, were now responsible for "all the righteous blood" long before they were born. People could also interpret that Judaism is also responsible for all the righteous deaths therefore they have to be converted to Xianity to become clean (by the blood of Jsus) from those deaths. In Matt 23:29-32 29 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. 30 And you say, 'If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.' 31 So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers!

I remember what was written earlier on this forum concerning sins of the fathers and the sons. Ezekiel 18:2-3 2. "What do you mean that you use this parable over the land of Israel, saying, 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge'? 3. As truly as I live, says the Lord God, you shall no longer use this parable in Israel. It gets summed up in this verse in the same chapter 20. The soul that sins, it shall die; a son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, and a father shall not bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. How can the person who put words into Jsus mouth change what G-d said that each person is responsible for their own sins or their own righteousness? As Sophie wrote:

This is totally against the Torah which says that we are all responsible for our OWN sins and that we can repent of our sins and become good and righteous people:

"The wicked should forsake his ways, and the evil person should forsake his plans, and return to HaShem, Who will have mercy on him, for He forgives abundantly." (Isaiah 55:7).

It took me a while to really understand things on this forum. By the way, I now own the ArtScroll Stone Edition of the Tanach. It came in the mail yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I found the back cover to be the front. That's going to take time getting use to.
