I am no expert on Xianity and I can only answer to the best of my ability Professor Mordochia. I can't give the answer like an internet novel like I have seen on other websites. I do miss some questions raised but lets see if this answer is acceptable. In my handy dandy Scofield reference Bible points to 2 Chronicles 24:15,20-22 and 36:15. In Scofields notes he states that Barachia was "probably" the "actual" father of Zechariah but Jehoiada was his grandfather who died at the age of 130. That is all he wrote and many Xians are going to accept that explanation. On the other hand, from the text, we see clearly that it was the princes of Judah who came to offer homage to the king and the king listen to them. It says that they left the House of the L-rd to serve idols and worship in the groves. Looks as though Zechariah sent prophets to them to bring them back to the L-rd and finally Zechariah himself came to them and they conspired against him and at the word of the king he was stoned in the court of the House of the L-rd. I have no idea how the Teachers of the Law and Pharisees were compared to those who killed Zechariah. They did not serve idols nor did they worship them in the groves. It really does not make any sense. Of course I am trying to learn Tanach myself. When I was an Xian I pretty much ignored the Hebrew Bible except when it came to retrofitting.
