mvguy2000's comments illustrate what I am trying to get at. "a significant church leader (maybe not yours) says something in the GT which is held by xtians as the perfect word of G-d, heaven breathed is false"

My point is that this significant church leader did NOT say that something in the "GT" is false. Read the article again. He simply pointed out that many popularly believed details are NOT in the NT. Yes, SMR, a large group of people believe that these popular details are from the NT, just like most people think that Eve and Adam sinned by eating an apple in the garden of Eden. I guess I do understand why this is a news article. However, I would like for you to maintain certain distinctions between popular misunderstandings and substantial issues.

What I am asking is for you to separate what I call fluff out of the picture. There are some serious issues to discuss regarding seeming contradictions and apparent disagreements between the NT and the Tanach. However, those serious issues are constantly mixed with simple misreadings of the NT and urban legends that have been used against Jews. Ever since I came on this forum I have been pleading for you to drop certain claims against the NT that are easily answered, so we can concentrate on core issues that merit serious discussion. Instead, I see more of fluff like, ha, see, the archbishop admits there weren't three wise kings at Jesus birthplace.
