Hello Sophiee,

Quote:
1) G-d "made" Jsus. Ergo Jsus was not G-d, but was a created being.

2) G-d made Jsus lower than angels, thus he certainly was lower than G-d.

Perhaps an example of a Christian midrasj? (Tehilim 8:6 - which is primarily about G-d's glory, His creation and His concern for us, mortal human beings - is quoted by Paul as applying to Jesus). IMHO it does not necessarily say that G-d made Jesus, but that G-d made Jesus lower (than the angels -- perhaps only for a short while). The intention of the writer seems to be to show the reader, by use of midrasj, that G-d made Jesus suffer death like an ordinary human being -- only in that aspect he supposedly was made lower than the angels. Angels don't die and don't suffer.

At least, that is how I would read it. But I'm not a Christian and leave it to others to correct me.
