Numbers 23:19
Quote:
"G-d is not a man..." "Nor a son of man..."

Quote:
"G-d is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind." (BaMidbar [Numbers] 23:19).

The Father is greater than I? I thought they were co-equal.
Quote:
John 14:28 -- "If you loved me, you would have been glad that I am going to the Father; because the Father is greater than I."

No one is good but G-d alone? So jsus is saying that he is different than G-d.
Quote:
As jsus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. "Good teacher," he asked,"What must I do to inherit eternal life?" "Why do you call me good?" jsus answered. "No-one is good -- except G-d alone." (Mark 10:17-18)

Quote:
"During the days of jsus's life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the ONE who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered (Heb 5:7-8).
To whom did He offer up prayers? Himself? He heard Himself, after He submitted to Himself? People get put into straightjackets for less. He could have saved Himself from death? G-d learned obedience? I thought G-d knows everything. How can G-d learn anything? How does G-d suffer?"

*So jsus is not G-d by his own words. G-d makes it clear too that He is not a man.

*If jsus is not G-d (and he is not!) then the virgin birth is out.

*If the virgin birth is out then the reliability of of the GT is in question.

*Since jsus is not G-d, he sinned.
Quote:
Esslesiastes 7:20 Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins.

Romans 3:23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Sounds like jsus sinned, therefore, according to xian theology, he was not a "perfect sacrifice".

I know that not all would agree with that logic but it is what brought me to the point where I seriously questioned this messiah and finally came to the conclusion that he is not the messiah.
