Today there's no greater supporter of Israel than predominantly Christian nations. Within those nations there's no greater supporter of Israel than EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN.
Let's not be "politically correct" and let's "say it like it is", folah!

One needs to take such statements with the proverbial "grain of salt". Upon digging a bit further into such declarations, it soon becomes clear that, in addition to a "hidden agenda", this support of Israel is for the "Holy Land", the parcel of land, more than for the Jewish people and Judaism. In fact, it is not a support of the Jewish faith at all, given that evangelical Christians aim to convert Jews from Judaism to Christianity. After all, that is the charge of the "Great Commission" in the GT and, according to Paul, "to the Jew first, then to the Greek". The "hidden agenda" is the expectation that, once all the Jewish people are in the "Holy Land", yeshu will make his "second coming", and all Jews will accept him as "lord and savior".
