Folah, were any of Jsus disciples alive 1000 years after his supposed death?

Nope.

Also if you'll notice the Torah is sectioned into "eras." By the era of Moshe an average lifespan was 120 years -- and even by Abraham's standard or Adam's Jsus didn't not fulfill his promise to return in a generation.

The Greek word is "genea" which no less than five lexicons describe as follows:

(1) The interval of time between father & son... from thirty to forty years those living in any one period; this present generation.

(2) A generation of mankind, a step in genealogy.

(3) A generation, an interval in time.

(4) The whole multitude of men living at the same time--Mt xxiv.34... used esp. of the Jewish race living at one and the same period.

(5) The sum total of those born at the same time... all those living at the same time... contemporaries... Mt. 24:34.

A generation may have once been one thousand years but it certainly was not 1000 years in the 1st century CE. It was closer to 30-40 years for an entire lifespan, let alone a generation. Chronological order again must be considered here -- and the Greek term used is not vague or open to your interpretation.

Jsus was speaking specifically to those alive when he was supposedly alive and not to some unknown future generation. Read Matthew 24:9:

Quote:
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and you shall be hated of all nations for my names sake"

Markk adds,

Quote:
"he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved" (Mark 13:13).

From the writing it seems Jsus was prophesying that these followers would survive and be alive to witness the second coming. False prophecy.
